The printed word

I may be having some of my reviews published in a local newspaper starting in a week, which is really exciting to me, considering I've only been doing this for a month. I'll make sure to post the details once things are finalized.

I had reviewed two more restaurants for this weeks blog, but because of the use of some of their content in this new venture, I am obliged to hold off until the issue is distributed. I did, however, enjoy a lovely dish tonight, courtesy of my usual dining companion:

Bowtie pasta in a tomato basil cream sauce was served with sautéed spinach, prosciutto, sautéed fresh tomatoes, and feta cheese. The feta becomes very mild when mixed with the sauce, and a sprinkle of shaved Parmesan was a nice last minute topping. Quick and easy to throw together, and full of late summer flavors, sometimes the simple things are exactly what an evening calls for.
